Straw and Hay Systems

Systems to Feed, Straw, Hay etc which is Shredded, De-Dusted, Weighed and finally packed into plastic pack.

The Straw Bedding is a low cost healthy, easy to use alternative to the conventional Wood Shavings.

Newly developed system for turning standard large Bale straw into a high valued bedding product for Horses, Cattle, Poultry etc. Product is dust free and out performs the traditional Wood Shaving, Shredded Paper etc.

Systems Include:-

Feed conveyor to accommodate the large bales of straw / hay and feed the material up into the shredding system

Initial shredding unit with a large 1200mm wide feed to shred the material into pieces which lend themselves to providning the ideal bedding material for Animals.

Pneumatic Conveying system to transport the shredded material from the Shredding unit on into the Bagging system.

Dust Extraction is carried out with our unique design of Rotary Product Separator. The dust is removed from the product and deposited into the Dust filters while the product falls direct into the weigh hopper of the Bagging Plant.

The bagging plant then weighs the material and packs the shredded product into a Polythene bag. The machine has a three ram system to help ensure consistency of pack weight / density and achieves a high production rate (Bagging unit capable of producing up to 120 x 25 kg packs / hour depending on the material and the required production rate)
